Herbal Medicine Apprenticeship - Program Overview

This is the most intense Program that Voyage Botanica offers. It is a one year (1500+ Hour Program).
It requires the student to move to Silver City, New Mexico and put in at least 20 hours a week.  Some weeks require more time than others. It is intense. Most of this time is spent in the field learning and using a variety of plant medicines. We will be travelling and exploring the medicinal plant communities of The Southwest United States, Mexico, Baja California, Costa Rica and or Ecuador.

We will study desert, mountain and rainforest plants. Our plant explorations will take us from basic plant medicine, to advance, to the shamanic traditions of several different cultures. This program is designed to give you 10 years of plant study and knowledge in one year. There is extreme transformative growth with this program and we will often be travelling at the edges of known reality.

This is the ultimate field ethnobotany and clinical herbal medicine program in the world. From the mystical Sonoran desert to the Amazonian rainforest.. . the plants will be our guides and teachers.

We will collect and learn about hundreds of medicinal plants. We will personally explore several shamanic traditions with traditional elders. We will learn the art and science of clinical herbal medicine. We will immerse ourselves deep into the world of plant medicines and explore the edges of our personal existence. Total dedication to our group and 100% individual effort is required.  This is a very deep voyage into the world known as Botanica.

The cost includes all ground transportation, airfare to all countries that require this, all lodging expenses while travelling in the field, and other basic costs.  The cost for this program is $27,500.00.  That breaks down to ~$18.00 per hour and includes all airfare and field transportation!

This program is limited to ONLY 5 students.   It begins in October/2005.
